Simple

For me, simpler is better.  While I love the cards with all of the layers, lace and ribbons piled with buttons and flowers, yet I keep wondering how to cram that into an envelope.  Don't get me wrong, I have made a few cards of over abundance in my time it just isn't the norm.  This was one of my first cards with another Mo's Digital Pencil image.  It was a quick birthday card for my sister.  It's obvious, now, that some time with my Cuttlebug or Vagabond would have much enhanced this card.

But she loved it and really what more can you ask.

The Copic color combo used for the dress is a favorite that I tend to overuse.  YG00, YG01, YG13, YG17.  Luckily my scissor skills have improved since this card as well, but since history was my goal for this, poor edges are going to be exposed.

How to finally start things off...

I've had this blog site since like 2008 and had never really figured out how to personalize it.  As you can see, I am on my way, but it is still a rather large work in progress. I wanted to share a card I did for my Niece's Dance teacher this summer. It is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Lil Ballerina and I loved it at once.

It seems appropriate that to begin with this image, even though it is far from my first, because my love of these particular digi images from Mo's stems from my love of my niece, Shayla.  He beautiful image and cute smiles come to mind when I put Copic to paper.
